Sport

Sport at GESS is for all students, including our elite athletes and competitive sports teams.

Sports and physical education are significant focus areas for our international school. Your child will benefit from a large range of integrated and after-school programmes as well as competitive teams coached by professionals. Our approach to sports is inclusive and we aim to develop a passion for sports and physical exercise in all of our students. Through sports, our students further develop the teamwork, leadership and collaboration skills that are nurtured in the classroom.

Competitive Sports

GESS is a full member of the Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools (ACSIS) and our students compete in leagues and tournaments with other international schools in Singapore. Our competitive sports teams also compete in tournaments around the region, including the SEA Games.

Football

GESS has a proud football heritage and our students compete in ACSIS leagues and also in the GESS-hosted Volkswagen Cup football tournament. Expert coaching and training is offered to both girls and boys teams.

Swimming

The GESS Swim Programme has been transformed into one of Asia's leading programmes under the new Head of Swimming, Ivan Bunakov. Attracting elite swimmers from around the region, our swim teams compete in Singapore ACSIS leagues as well as international tournaments.

Basketball

There is an established basketball programme at GESS in conjunction with Proform Basketball. Additionally, GESS partners with ALBA Berlin professional basketball club. Our boys and girls teams compete in the Singapore ACSIS league.
