On Sunday, 27 May our Sound Crowd Choir perfectly represented GESS with about 30 students under the lead of Jan-Helge Osmers and Felix Leuschner at an event at Watten Park in collaboration with the German embassy. Thank you very much, especially to Mr Osmers and our students who practised hard for this performance and sang in front of a huge audience on Saturday afternoon.
The cabaret “Lieber einen Mann als gar keinen Ärger”, which took place on 30 May was a great success. Our guests who attended the event really enjoyed the show and I would like to thank Eva-Maria Fastenau and Michael Seeboth for the great performance. We have invited the two cabaret artists to come again in 2019 and I am looking forward to the new programme by the two artists from Gera, Germany.
Michael Söldner has organised and executed an exhibition about sustainability with his students on the occasion of sustainability week, which we held last week. I think it is very important to always remind our students to live sustainably and to show that we are the role models to take care of the shrinking resources of our planet.
This week, the Graduation Ceremony for our Grade 12 students will be taking place. I hope that I will arrive back on time from the principals’ meeting in Berlin to deliver my speech on Friday, 8 June.
I wish you and your family a nice week.
