GESS is now at the stage of discussing with the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) as well as the Singapore Economic Development Board on the details of the 3.0 ha land for the new school. The finalisation of the larger site involves the rezoning of master plan land use which URA is currently undergoing for the whole area. This process involved a lot of detail and takes time so it seems likely that the final price and boundaries of the land will probably not be available prior the summer vacation. However, in the meantime we are proceeding with the initial land survey to work on the site topography and continuing with the more detailed planning work on the campus facilities.
We are still in time with planning and construction to complete the project on schedule, but we are conscious of this delay and so ensuring everything that is within our direct control is meeting the target dates, while encouraging the various governmental organizations to work with us as quickly as possible. A more detailed update will be given at this month’s EGM.
