Holiday Camps


A variety of activities are offered by external providers on our GESS campus during the school holidays.

Please click on the camps below for more information. If you any questions about the holiday camp, please contact the camp organiser directly. Cafeteria is open from 10am-3pm during the January camp period.

Note: Activities are run based on the prevailing guidelines by the Singapore government authorities during the COVID19 period.

Whizzkidz Camp

Whizzkidz Camp

What:

12pm - 1pm (optional) Lunch Supervision - Applicable to participant who join a morning camp at GESS campus and is registered for Whizzkidz camp. Please note that lunch is not provided during lunch supervision, however the Cafeteria will be open from 10am-3pm. Whizz Kidz will only provide snacks (cookies and fruits).

1 pm - 4 pm Camp Cobra (Different activities conducted over a rotational basis to allow participants to explore as many activities as possible each day)

Various mix of activities for multi-talented children. Join to learn:

  • Invention Challenges
    Making learning fun and full of creativity, invention challenges will make our participants think out of the box and different ways to solve problems, using Science, Math and lots of Creative thinking.
  • Fun Games and Challenges
    Games and challenges to bring the competitiveness out of every child. These fun games will get them moving and working in small groups.
  • Crazy Science experiments
    With over 100 science topics to explore, such as Volcanoes, Magnets, Machines and gear. Students will have a topic and so hands-on experiments to learn more and understand the various science concepts behind the activities.
  • Arts and Crafts
    Get creative and work on different artistic creations that require various techniques such as coffee painting, yarn design art, and canvas painting and many more.
  • Tinkerer kits
    Campers will explore various STEAM Concepts through fun and engaging Tinkerer kits that they will take home at the end of the camp.
  • Green Warriors
    Saving the environment by turning our recyclable materials into useful and beautiful creations. Do some planting and learn about how plants grow and the benefits it brings to us and the planet!

  • 12 pm - 1 pm (Lunch Supervision - Participants must bring their own lunch; or buy from the Cafeteria)

Marsden Swimming Camp

Marsden Swimming Camp

What:

Marsden Swim Camp is an opportunity to really progress your swim technique with a program that has run in Singapore for over 20 years. Each day we shall focus on Technique across the 4 strokes in small groups, including starts, turns and underwater work. We shall also integrate yoga/ stretching towards swimming and of course games and fun across the 5 days. This is a chance to take your swimming to the next level in a fun, professional camp with experienced coaches who love what they do.

Daily Itinerary:

08:30 Arrival
08.45 - 10:00 am Stroke Correction – starts and turns
10:00 - 10:30 am Playtime, Stretching/ Yoga
10:30 - 10:45 am Snack time
10:45 - 12:00 pm Stroke Correction – starts and turns
12.15 - Pick Up

We shall focus on 2 strokes per day with a real emphasis on drills and working toward strong technique. Lessons adaptable according to the age and ability of the group!

Jwave Badminton Camp

Jwave Badminton Camp

What:

Badminton camp for all ages (6-18 years old)

Introduction to fundamental technique and movement in badminton for those who are new to the sport. Players will learn the rules of the game and engage in fun games that will help develop their psychomotor abilities. Improving badminton skills and tactical awareness of those who have some exposure in badminton. Refining techniques through a series of multiple shuttle feeding and game-like drills. Mini competition on the last day to see how the players have fare. Promote competitive spirit in a fun and friendly manner!

ProActiv Sports Multi-Activity Camp

ProActiv Sports Multi-Activity Camp

What:

Our Multi-Activity camp provides children with the opportunity to explore a wide variety of sports and activities in a fun and positive environment.

Children will learn new skills, techniques and develop their Fundamental Movement Skills.

Sports include - Athletics, Rugby, Tennis, Dodgeball, Ultimate Frisbee, Baseball

Martial Arts - Karate & Capoeira

Activities - Art n Craft, Engineering, Treasure hunt and Fun games.

Your child will build their confidence, make new friends and most importantly have a blast at our Multi-Activity camp.

ILDO Taekwondo Camp

ILDO Taekwondo Camp

What:

ILDO Taekwondo camp introduces student into the world of Taekwondo Demonstration and Sparring. 5 special Taekwondo courses are provided. Following are the content.

Day 1: Board Breaking
Board Breaking is one of the Taekwondo demonstration skills which is to break wooden boards using hand and foot. In this Board Breaking course, students will learn board breaking techniques by practicing on rubber board and then move on to breaking an actual wooden board. Board breaking guides students into the world of Taekwondo demonstration as well as building up confidence while challenging their limits. (Short Introductory Clip)

Day 2: Nunchucks
Nunchuck which is well known in Bruce Lee films, is also one of the advanced Taekwondo demonstration skills using a nunchuck. Students will use rubber nunchucks and learn basic nunchucks skills. Through this course, students learn self-control and self-defense skills by doing nunchuck sparring. (Short Introductory Clip)

Day 3: Acrobatics
Acrobatics is a main skill used in Taekwondo demonstration. In this course, students will learn basic rolling movements, back flip, side flip, and flip & kick techniques. (Short Introductory Clip)

Day 4: Introductory Sparring
Sparring which is called Kyorugi in Korean term is one of the Olympic sports. It is a Taekwondo duel sport mainly using kicking techniques. In this course, students will be exposed to the fundamentals of sparring and at the same time building up their stamina. (Short Introductory Clip)

Day 5: Self-Defense
Self-Defense techniques are essential for protection as unpredictable accidents may occur. In this course, students learn the way to escape from dangerous situations such as school bullying, child molestation, and etc. (Short Introductory Clip)

  • 5 day courses package : $400

Each day is allocated to one single course and student may choose up to 5 day courses in the same week depending on their interest.

For who: Children 6 years old and above

Class size: Maximum 22 participants

Materials needed: Water, Comfortable Clothes, Towels, Taekwondo Uniform (If have)

*Photo taking session is included during the course. Soft copy of the photo will be sent to students and parents.

*Goodie bags and certificates will be given to all students.

Speediswim Aquatic Sports Camp

Speediswim Aquatic Sports Camp

What: Aquatic Sports Camp at GESS (Water Polo / Artistic Swimming)

Level:
Learn To Play. Learn To Play provides the entry level of skill learning for student wish to learn how to play Water Polo, or becoming an Artistic Swimmer. It covers the fundamental of these Aquatic Sports and the basic skills at the Beginners stage of sport development, respectively for Water Polo and Artistic Swimming. Both Land Drill and Pool Training on sport specific will be taught to the participant at each session, at this developmental stage of learning. The Pre-requisites ensure participant is able to follow through the skill set encompass in the Learn To Play program over the 4 days camp.

Days & Dates:

Tuesday to Friday (4 days)

  • Camp I: 4 to 7 Jan 2021
  • Camp II: 11 to 14 Jan 2021

Sessions:

  • 2-3 pm: 10 to 12 year old
  • 3-4 pm: 13 to 15 years old
  • 4-5 pm: 16 years old and above

Duration: 60 min

Fees: $100 / Participant / Camp

Maximum Participant: 10 Student / Session / Aquatic Sport / Coach

Pre-Requisite:

  1. Ability to swim front crawl and backstroke, of each 25 meters.
  2. Ability to tread water without support, for minimum of 2 minutes.
