Save the date: Annual General Meeting

Dear GESS Community,

The GESS Board of Governors would like to warmly invite all Members of the Association to our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 15th December 2020 at 7:15pm. Due to the current government restrictions on gathering sizes and in line with the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Alternative Arrangements for Meetings for Registered Societies) Order 2020, the meeting will be conducted virtually (through a virtual AGM platform called CONVENE).

AGM Agenda:

  1. Approval of the Budget for AY 2020/21
  2. Approval of the Financial Statements of the year which ended on 31st July 2020
  3. Approval of the Tuition Fees for AY 2021/22
  4. Appointment of Auditors for the current financial year
  5. Voting on amendments to our Constitution
  6. Election of four Board positions: President, Honorary Secretary and 2 Ordinary Board Members

Should you be interested to stand for election for one of those positions, we would ask you to contact until 30th November 2020. Due to the format of this year’s meeting we are not able to accept nominations during the event.

You will receive further information on how to register for the AGM at the end of November. If you have not received the official invite with the registration information by 1 December 2020, please contact immediately, so we can make sure you are able to register.

If you are not yet a Member of the GESS Association but would like to attend the AGM, you can apply for membership through this link. Membership is free for all parents of GESS students and GESS employees. Due to the virtual format of the meeting we cannot guarantee that applications received after 6:00pm on 23 November 2020 to be considered for this event, so please apply as soon as possible.
