Electricity turn-on at the newly constructed substation was scheduled for 9 October 2017 but was postponed due to flooding in incoming lead-in pipe. The power turn-on will be rescheduled soon. The Project Management Team (PMT) is currently evaluating the system furniture tender returns and will set up the workstation mock-up for staff review in the coming month.
With all structural works near completion, the contractor is concentrating on finishing up the bulk of mechanical and electrical works to facilitate the architectural and interior fitting-out works. The PMT met with consultants and the contractor this month and they are committed to timely completion for school handover next year. Despite slight delay in some areas, overall progress is within project delivery schedule and the cost is within budget.
