CAS - Trip to Bintan
Every October grade 11 students spend a few days in Bintan. This is their first CAS trip of the year. They do some service work in villages around Bintan, building roads, houses, mosquito nets, planting trees, or whatever the local community has requested for that year. In between the service work, they get to do some fun but challenging activities, such as going down a flying fox, jumping in a big net from a boat and more.
These activities, early in the first year of the IPDP, also serve as a class bonding experience. The trip ends with a big party on the last night, to which children from a Bintan orphanage are invited. The students cook for them, prepare games, activities, and music for a dancing party around a bond fire.
