IB Curriculum

Die Europäische Sektion der Deutschen Europäischen Schule Singapur (GESS) ist eine akkreditierte  „International Baccalaureate World School“ und eine der wenigen auf der Welt, die berechtigt ist, das Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme und das Diploma Programme anzubieten.

Seit dem Start im Jahr 2005 hat sich die Europäische Sektion in eine mittelgroße Schule mit über 600 Schülern entwickelt, die auf der Insel einen sehr guten Ruf hat. Die überwiegende Mehrheit unserer Schüler besitzt einen europäischen Pass und die GESS ist somit eine wichtige Verbindung mit ihrer europäischen Heimat.

Unsere akademischen Programme sind so konzipiert, dass sie diese Schüler unterstützen und sie auf die Rückkehr nach Europa sowie für den Start an einer europäischen Universität vorbereiten. 

Im Vorschulischen Bereich, der für Kinder von 18 Monaten bis 6 Jahren konzipiert ist, bieten wir vier verschiedene altersabhänige Gruppen, wahlweise in deutscher oder englischer Sprache an. 

Deutsches Curriculum

Die German European School Singapore ist eine gemeinnützige deutsche internationale Schule mit einer ausgeprägten europäischen Note. GESS bietet 1.500 Schülern aus über 50 Nationen eine Bildung vom 18 Monaten bis 18 Jahren.

Seit der Gründung im Jahr 1971 hat sich GESS zu einer Schule mit zwei Sektionen weiterentwickelt. Als „Exzellente Auslandsschule“ führt die GESS in der Deutschen Sektion zu den gängigen allgemeinbildenden deutschen Schulabschlüssen Haupt- und Realschul-Abschluss sowie zum Deutschen Internationalen Abitur. Die Europäische Sektion führt als „IB World School“ alle drei IB-Programme, PYP, MYP, IB Diploma, in englischer Sprache durch.

Wir unterstützen unsere Schüler darin, ihre deutschen Wurzeln zu festigen. Wir verleihen ihnen Flügel, indem wir sie auf die sprachlichen Anforderungen einer globalisierten Welt vorbereiten: mit unserem differenzierten Englisch-Programm ab Klasse 1, einigen auf Englisch unterrichteten Fächern in der Sekundarstufe und weiteren Fremdsprachen-Angeboten. Auf dem Schulhof und bei zahlreichen Bonding-Aktivitäten haben die Schüler zusätzlich Raum, die Internationalität der Schule zu leben.
