Welcome to GESS and thank you for your interest in our European Section!

The European Section is geared towards students of all nationalities who would like to experience an education based on traditional European values. These are rooted in the traditions of Humanism, Enlightenment and Reformatory Pedagogy and include, among others, inquiry-based learning, a holistic approach to education and the strengthening of our children's self-esteem and concept of their personality.

In realising this concept, we co-operate closely with the International Baccalaureate Organisation and we have incorporated their highly acknowledged and rigorous frameworks, the PYP, MYP and IB-Diploma Programme into our curricula. The IB Diploma is a truly international High School Diploma and will enable our students to pursue a wide range of tertiary education anywhere in the world.

Our tri-lingual language concept with English as the language of instruction, German as the first foreign language and often our students' mother tongue as a further subject, international English speaking teaching staff, our state-of-the-art facilities, our focus on arts, drama and music as well as on sports, our modern IT concept and our extensive CCA-Programme provide our students with the perfect environment to nurture their talents, further their skills and knowledge, and develop into confident, creative, tolerant and socially responsible adults.
